PACDEFF 2025

16 September 2025

PACDEFF 2025 will this year combine with The Australian Aviation Psychology Association (AAvPA) again, for a fantastic conference at Rydges Hotel, World Square in Sydney, over 16-17 September.

The conference will feature a mix of Human Factors, Non-technical Skills and Aviation Psychology presentations, plus three workshops. A formal call for speakers is now open and we look forward to hearing from any interested speakers across a diverse range of topics. Most of the slots are around 25 minutes and this year we will feature a dedicated Defence Human Factors and Aviation Safety Forum, as well as a dedicated AAvPA forum which includes a best student presentation section.

Please contact us by return email, or by the link on the PACDEFF website at www.pacdeff.com/ with an overview or abstract of your proposed presentation. The call for speakers will close on the 28th of February, although any remaining slots will be filled in due course.

As usual, the conference will feature a number of networking opportunities, including a free welcome function on the evening before the conference, and a conference dinner at Rydges on the Tuesday night.

Costs for this year's event will be very similar to last year, with Speaker registrations being free and delegate registrations starting at $295.

Accommodation at Rydges will be available for $251 per night (which is exceptional for quality hotels in Sydney) and a link to book accommodation will be available on the PACDEFF website prior to registrations opening on the 1st of March.

We look forward to hearing from prospective speakers.

Wayne
On behalf of the Combined PACDEFF and AAvPA Organising Committee
